I work with violent patients, sexual offenders, addictions, my legacy writings and perpetrators, and have a forensic psychology practice nationally. I have published one book Routledge, Male to Female Transsexualism in 1982; over 150 articles, book chapters and have lectured locally, nationally and internationally. I practice a broad based psychoanalytically informed individual and group practice employing theoretical frameworks influences by Freud, Kohut, Bowlby, Lacan, Attachment and Trauma theory and informed by neurobiological frameworks of understanding attachment ruptures, and relational psychoanalytically informed frameworks for understanding the self and perverse aggressive and sexual practices. My most recent focus has been on focusing on right brain psychotherapy (Schore) and neurobiological mechanisms of defense (Porges) while focusing on how using art and right brain psychotherapy approaches to understanding and treating violence and major personality disorders. I serve on boards of major journals and am working on my legacy writings.
